Replacement part for 22" snow thrower scrapers. While original scrapers lasted 5-7 years, customers reported replacement scrapers breaking after only a few uses due to brittle plastic material. Major availability issues during peak winter season, leaving snow throwers unusable. Customers strongly recommend metal construction over plastic.

As with many others here, my scraper broke in exactly the same way as shown in the photo after a few years of use, but I cannot get the replacement part. I’m going to try returning it to Costco.
Hi Mike. Thank you for feedback. We apologize for any frustration as we work diligently on stock replenishment. Please check your inbox for our latest communication. Some benefits of the plastic scraper include protecting delicate surfaces, quieter operation, glides over uneven surfaces, and especially non-marking. The scraper is considered a wearable item/part, and therefore it would need to be replaced accordingly, depending on the condition. More information can be found here: https://greenworkstoolv.com/pages/warranty. Should you require any troubleshooting or warranty assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us via chat on www.greenworkstoolv.com or call us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). This scraper gets way to brittle in the cold and destroyed after every single snowfall. Greenworks needs to acknowledge that this is a design flaw and not an issue with wear and tear and do better with the design of this scraper. This is never in stock when you need them so the snowblower becomes useless for the rest of the season. I was able to finally order a set in the summer but it came with incorrect fasteners. I called up support and they had the audacity to say that "as a one time courtesy, we will send you the correct fasteners". Are you serious!!? They sent 2/5 screws and never received the rest of correct fasteners as they sold out!
J'ai remplacé le grattoir parce que l'ancien était usé. En une seule utilisation, il s'est complètement brisé. Je ne suis vraiment pas satisfait.
It is absolutely ridiculous that this part is not made out of metal, but almost worse that this easily breakable and important component isn't readily available to replace. Unforgivable.
I am a loyal Greenworks customer and have five tools in the 80v Pro line, and it is infuriating that during record snowfall and continued cold temperatures my tool that I depend on isn't available. Fix this design flaw immediately, and seriously consider sending replacements free of charge.
Have rarely used my 22 inch snow thrower. Replaced the plastic scraper at the beginning of winter, and now it is cracked again. Should be made of a more durable material.
Seems to be a common problem.
Same experience as many others on here. Original blade was super tough, but the replacement cracked & broke after only a few uses and not during a particularly strenuous clear. Hoping Greenworks has gone back to the better material, as obviously I’ll need to order another one.
Hi Chris Vincent,
We’re sorry to hear the replacement scraper assembly did not provide the durability you expected, especially compared to the original component. We understand how frustrating it can be to replace a wear item only to experience cracking or breakage after limited use.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback regarding the material performance and long-term durability of the replacement part. Customer feedback like this is valuable and helps our team continue evaluating product quality and design improvements.
If you need additional assistance regarding replacement parts or compatibility, Greenworks Customer Support can be reached at 1-888-909-6757 or through Live Chat on our website, and we would be happy to assist further.
I think most concrete driveways are poured in sections which often leave a ridge between the sections. The scraper hits on the ridge and breaks. I have just replaced the scraper (which is hard to do) after the first one broke. I suggest you use a stronger composite material, metal or even wood. Otherwise the snowblower works well other than for a heavy snowfall of wet snow.
Owned this snow blower since 2018 and it has generally been great. I got a replacement blade in late 2023 after it finally cracked mainly due to wear after 5 years! Awesome longevity, the 2023/24 replacement cracked after about only 4-5 uses(cheap brittle plastic). The one I got this last year is still holding up and seem to be using a quality slightly flexible plastic again.
Thank you for sharing your perspective on our snow blower and scraper assembly. It is valuable for us to see how these components perform over time, and we are pleased to hear that the most recent version uses a more resilient, flexible compound designed to better resist cracking in cold temperatures.
To ensure the best performance and longevity, we recommend adjusting the scraper to avoid pressing too hard on rough ground, checking periodically for even wear, and avoiding gravel or large debris when possible.
We hope you find this information useful. If you require any additional support or have questions regarding a product, we recommend trying our Q&A section on our product pages or using our Chat feature on www.greenworkstoolv.com.
Thank you for being a Greenworks customer.
It is now March and this part is still not available... I don't appreciate the company's responses, to previous reviewer's comments about this issue. Completely missing the point.
Also it would be nice if your system would have an option to send a notice when the item is in stock. I have been checking this website for months now only to be disappointed.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We understand how frustrating it can be when a replacement part is not available, especially when you have been checking back for some time. Our team is actively working to improve parts availability.
At this time, the scraper assembly for 22' snow throwers is currently in processing, and we have an estimated availability within this month. However, processing delays may extend that timeframe. While we hope to have these items available on the website soon, please keep in mind that this is an estimate only and is subject to change without notice.
Thank you as well for your suggestion regarding a notification feature to alert customers when items return to stock. We appreciate your feedback, and it is something our team has considered as part of our ongoing efforts to improve the customer experience.
If you have further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-888-909-6757 or through our Live Chat available on our website.
Have read the reviews and disingenuous responses. To begin, I can confirm the replacements are inferior. Next is the availability issue/problem which is ridiculous. My first comment/question is, have the scrapers improved in strength and material/composition? Or are they the same scrapers that were previously $15? And please no wear and tear placations.
I have shovels that are 5, 10, 15 and over 20 years old. No metal blades to prevent damage to asphalt. They have been used extensively, abused, banged into ice, concrete, curb/sidewalk edges, scraped with force, in bad and extreme conditions, frigid cold and they haven’t broken. The older ones show signs of wear and deterioration at the scraper end, but haven’t shattered. Shovels that were 30 years, the handle broke. Why wouldn’t the composition of this scraper not mirror the material and strength of shovels made for decades upon decades. It’s not rocket science.
This is now a Greenworks company and reputational issue. The original scrapers that came with the blower lasted 5 years. Now outside warranty, the wear and tear replacements are brittle, unreliable and not fit for purpose.
I am seriously considering returning my whole set of Greenworks tools to Costco … lawn mower, snow thrower, blower, trimmers, batteries etc. And clearly making sure the GM and the corporate executive team understand why.
Explain what’s going on with durability and improvement of the scrapers currently in stock for $22.
I read previous reviews about scraper being wearable part. And I understand it. However, if company knows about the issue, the replacement part should be always in stock, ready to ship and cheap. That how I would see respected vendor running business. I've been buying Greenworks tools for a while now. What should I expect next? My lawn mower blade is wearable and out of stock?
Hello Alex M. We apologize, but the Scraper Assembly for 22' Snow Throwers (SKU: R0200650-00) https://greenworkstoolv.com/products/scraper-assembly is currently unavailable online. Broken piece and now the middle of the path leaves a trail of unblown snow. Out of stock and completely useless. Once these batteries die, I will move off the Greenworks platforrm
Love the machine but Greenworks still unable to replace this part after just two seasons. Customer service part would be available in February so in the meantime our Snow Blower is useless.

I've ordered 3-4 of these so far and they're horrible. Continually break, it's minimum one per season I'm going through (now this is the 2nd for the year) and it's unacceptable to have a part like this constantly breaking. This is clearly a poorly manufactured part and they know it.
Along with the outrageous shipping cost.. not only do you need to order 2-3 at a time, you get to pay for shipping.
Unacceptable. Fix the product. Offer a metal replacement since the plastic is so poor.
Hi John. Thank you for your review. We understand your frustration and can offer some helpful information. Many Single-Stage Snow Throwers will have a plastic scraper; metal scrapers tend to be on the Two-Stage Snow Thrower units. Single-stage models are usually the lightest type of snowblower available, making them relatively easy to transport and store when not being used. Some benefits of the plastic scraper include protecting delicate surfaces, quieter operation, glides over uneven surfaces, and especially non-marking. The scraper is considered a wearable item/part, and therefore it would need to be replaced accordingly, depending on the condition. Should you require any troubleshooting, warranty assistance, questions, or other concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly via chat or call 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). Thank you for choosing Greenworks Tools!
I have my snow blower for 2 years now and this part just broke. The plastic just explode everywhere while I was using it and it seems that it is a recurring problem with it. Why isn'tmade of a sturdier material? I want to order a new one but it's out of stock since January. The worst thing is that the piece is only sold here and not in other retailers like Canadian tire so it's really hard to have the part... I guess I will have to use my shovel for the rest of winter of go with an other company like EGO.
Hi Vicky. Thank you for feedback. We apologize for any frustration while we work diligently on stock replenishment, and we are expecting stock soon. Please check your inbox for our latest communication. We can offer some helpful information in the meantime. Applying a thin layer of 'snow and ice repellant spray' to ensure there is no build-up of snow or ice on the impeller and the chute. This will help the snow achieve the furthest distance when operating. Some benefits of the plastic scraper include protecting delicate surfaces, quieter operation, glides over uneven surfaces, and especially non-marking. The scraper is considered a wearable item/part, and therefore it would need to be replaced accordingly, depending on its condition. The original scraper that came with my blower lasted 5 seasons before breaking. The original scraper on my father’s blower is wearing but holding strong now on its 7th season.
Purchased 5 scrapers for free shipping thinking they would last as a wear item for the life of the blowers. Replaced my broken scraper in early 2025. 1 out of 5. It’s now February 2026, multiple cracked/broken scrapers, and replacing with the 5th one before the winter season is complete. The 4th one survived only 2 days.
And they are out of stock during the needed season where there is peak demand. Why? Because everybody needs them for repeated replacements. Let’s have them available in the off season so we don’t have to honour any 90 day warranty claims.
Obviously a quality issue. Same house, same driveway, same usage. I’ve contacted Costco, and hopefully they will address with Greenworks. Because if not, will return to Costco for refund and Costco will eat the loss repeatedly with members returning as a consequence.
Will also be contacting Greenworks again, and expecting all 5 to be replaced under warranty because this is unacceptable nonsense. And if you want to negatively impact your trust, reputation and goodwill… customers can help with that. Do better immediately.
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the restocking period and can assure you we are working on stock replenishment. We can understand your frustration regarding the scrapers, as well as hear your concerns. For the time being, we can recommend applying a thin layer of 'snow and ice repellant spray' to ensure there is no build-up of snow or ice on the impeller and the chute. Now I can’t even use my snowthrower as you can’t buy this scraper because it’s out of stock. I understand it’s a wear item but when you can’t buy it’s useless.

I think the worst decision I ever made was to buy the greenworks snow thrower. I understand that scraper gets damaged and it probably is because it provides better performance or whatever. But they don't have the replacement part with them. There is no possible alternate available. Interestingly the customer services told me that the stock will be probably available by the end of Feb or start of March. Ha ha ha. So technically they want the customer to buy another snow thrower of some other brand until they could arrange for a part. Really amazing service.
