- Is it difficult to use snow shovel/thrower with an extension cord?
- It does take time to get used to having a cord attach to your snow shovel, we suggest keeping the electric cord as close to the outlet as you can and then move away from the outlet, so the slack always stays on the side you are moving away from or put the cord over your shoulder. That way it is always behind you while using the snow shovel but over time it will get easier to manage.
- Can I use my Snow Shovel on uneven pavement?
- We do not recommend using this snow shovel on uneven or non-paved areas. It works best on smooth and flat surface areas. As the operator works along the uneven surface, the tool will need to be lifted to avoid contact. Contact to non-paved areas will damage the scraper faster the more the unit makes hard contact.
- Does the Snow Shovel have a chute?
- The Snow Shovel is not equipped with a chute; it is a light duty unit, perfect for light to moderate snow conditions. We suggest directing the snow in front or to either side by pushing the snow shovel forward so that it rides on the scraper. The direction of the snow is changed when the user turns the shovel.
- Why won’t my snow shovel start?
- The tool is equipped with a safety start up feature. The units will only start when the following sequence is done: 1.Verify that the battery pack is inserted into the battery compartment. 2.Press and hold the lock-out button 3.While holding the lock-out button, press and hold the trigger switch. Please note, the Snow Shovel will not start if the lock-out button is not held until the trigger switch is lifted. Once trigger is pressed and unit is started, release the lock-out button.

This brushless snow shovel 'delivered more than expected' with powerful performance for clearing driveways, walkways, and patios. Customers praised its effectiveness in tight areas and up to 30cm of snow. However, weight is a consistent concern at approximately 40 lbs, making it tiring to use. The $500 price point is considered high by some shoppers.

It's perfect and we were surprised of the power it has for small snow banks walkways and patio! It'a bit heavy but way less than having to shovel with a regular snow shovel!

Works great and very easy to move around tight areas.
It gets the job done and easier to use than conventional snow blowers. It's not too heavy. It fits nicely in the front enclosed porch for when I need to use it to clear the snow.
It’s a very heavy unit for lifting. Maybe 40 lbs. can’t move around like a light shovel. Exhausted by the time done using it. And for $500, very pricy. If it wasn’t a Christmas gift, I wouldn’t have bought one myself
Hi Td. Thank you for your review of the Greenworks 48V 12' Brushless Snow Shovel. The unit does require a fair bit of upper body strength depending on the condition of the snow. Most Snow Shoves are designed for a light duty snow shoveling for walkways, driveways, and patios. With continued usage, the operate will become more familiar with the unit. Try only clearing one-third of the width of the unit to lighten to load acting against it. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience.
